Brad Pitt has spoken out about living with potential prosopagnosia.

The Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood star has revealed that he potentially suffers with the neurological disorder which makes it difficult to remember people’s faces.

The condition is typically either developmental, which can be genetic or acquired, which can happen to someone who’s suffered from a brain injury, according to the NHS.

Other symptoms include recognizing emotions or being able to remember a person’s name or gender.

Speaking to GQ in 2022, Pitt shared: “Nobody believes me!”, “So many people hate me because they think I’m disrespecting them,” he added.

He admitted that he had even started explaining to people about his potential diagnosis but it did not go down well: “It just got worse. People were more offended,” he admitted.

“It’s a mystery to me, man,” he added. “I can’t grasp a face, and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view. I am going to get it tested.”

“You meet so many damned people,” the 61-year-old said. “And then you meet ’em again.”

Despite having an official diagnosis, its easy to imagine how this impacts his daily lifestyle.
