The shooting happened at about 1:21 p.m. local time at Rihanna’s residence in the Beverly Crest area, according to Los Angeles police and reports citing law enforcement sources. Authorities said a 30-year-old woman was taken into custody after several rounds were fired toward the property. Reuters, citing local media including the Los Angeles Times and NBC4, reported that about 10 shots were fired from a vehicle across the street and that at least one bullet penetrated a wall of the house. NBC4 reported that police said between seven and nine rounds were discharged from an AR-15-style rifle and that four rounds struck the house. The motive had not been established by late Sunday, and the investigation remained ongoing.
