Are Zac and Jen Affleck Still Together? Here’s Why ‘Mormon Wives’ Fans Think They Broke Up

When The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast was thrust into the spotlight back in 2024, their lives became…well, not so secret. With MomTok members like Taylor Frankie Paul and Jessi Draper making headlines with their offscreen drama, we pretty much know too much about these women’s lives, whether we like it or not.

Jen Affleck and her husband, Zac Affleck, are the latest SLOMW cast members to make their way into the news cycle thanks to a recent “life update” she gave on social media…which has fans convinced that they may have called it quits.

On Tuesday, April 7, Jen shared a tearful video on Instagram, where she’s seen without her wedding and engagement rings from Zac. She also revealed she’s moving again after relocating from Utah to L.A. for a Mormon Wives spin-off set in California.

“In the last two to three years…so much has happened between two babies, reality TV show, Dancing with the Stars, moving, identity, faith, life crisis. I’m very hopeful for this next chapter of my life,” she said, noting that she’s currently “going through a hard time.”

She continued, “I think this is definitely a pivoting point in my life. I think my frontal lobe is somewhat being fully developed. I got married at 19 and pregnant a year after. I really haven’t had time to figure out who Jen is, and I’m still trying to figure that out. I desperately want to be able to show up for my kids and show up as the best version of myself. I’m praying the universe and God can lead me to that.”

Elsewhere in the clip, she shared a cryptic message about not recognizing herself while experiencing tough emotions.

“Looking back at the last two years, there’s a lot of parts of me that I haven’t really recognized. There are parts of me that I feel like half-healed, and then there are parts of me where old patterns have shown back up,” she said, adding, “I’ve been hoping through my vulnerability that I could help heal and also help heal myself. I’m hoping I can find my faith again. I clearly need Jesus in my life. I don’t know if you can tell.”

The latest speculation surrounding their relationship status comes after Jen and Zac faced some issues on season 1 of SLOMW. When it came time to film season 2, they decided to live separately and try ketamine therapy to get through their relationship and filming.

Things seemed good between them last fall, when Jen competed against fellow MomTok member Whitney Leavitt on DWTS after welcoming her third baby. Zac constantly supported Jen in the audience and on social media at the time (though, as season 4 later revealed, Zac was actually struggling with the lifestyle change behind the scenes).

At one point during season 4, Jen even told Zac, “It’d be easy if I was single,” to which Zac replied, “You want a divorce?” Ofc, Zac later claimed his reluctance to move to California was simply a “storyline,” not a reflection of reality. As he told a commenter on Instagram, “Contrary to what you might have seen I loved DWTS experience and California has been my dream place to live my entire life.”

So…I guess time will tell what the truth is!
